FAQ

Find more information about QuitNow and the Referral Portal.

Why do I need to create an account to send referrals?

This portal was created as a secure way to send client information. You will need a password to access the referral form, which helps protect both your information and your clients’ information. Only you can view and edit your account and the referrals you submit.

Why is this account different from my account on QuitNow.ca?

This portal is designed specifically for health and community service providers in British Columbia who wish to refer clients for cessation support. Your account on QuitNow.ca is for individuals who are seeking support for themselves, such as text and email tips, live chat with experienced coaches, and other resources.

Can I create an account if I am outside British Columbia, Canada?

Our services are intended to support people living in British Columbia. All new accounts must be approved, and if you are located outside the province, you may not be able to access the portal.

How long does it take for my account to be approved?

You will receive a confirmation within one week of creating your account. Please check your spam or junk folder, as our emails may sometimes end up there. If it has been more than two weeks without confirmation or a response, please contact us at quitnow@bclung.ca.

Why does my account need to be approved?

All accounts must be approved by our team to ensure the security of the portal and to confirm that services are being provided to clients in British Columbia.

Can anyone see who I am referring?

No. The information you submit can only be accessed by you and the QuitNow team supporting the referral. All information is securely hosted within Canada.
